Education Common Entrance Test (EdCET-2012) for the year 2012 will be conducted by Andhra University, Visakhapatnam in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.72 (SE Trg-1) Dept dt: 05.07.2004 for admission into B.Ed regular course in Colleges of Education in A.P for the academic year 2012-2013

Eligibility

The candidates should fulfill the following criteria.

  1. The candidates should have passed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.Sc.(Home Science)/B.C.A./B.B.M. Examination from any University in Andhra  Pradesh or a recognized University out side Andhra Pradesh.
  2. The candidates who are appearing for final year degree examinations in 2012 are also eligible to appear for entrance examination.
  3. Candidates with at least 50% Marks either in the Bachelor’s Degree or in the Master’s Degree in the relevant subject or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission into B.Ed. course. However the candidates belonging to all reserved categories should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
  4. The qualifying mark in the Entrance Test for all candidates is 37 out of 150 (i.e 25%). For the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities there will be no qualifying marks for ranking.
  5. There will be no qualifying marks for women in the subjects of Physical Sciences and Mathematics.
  6. The candidates should have completed 19 years of age as on 01-07-2012.
